Aaron Best:
Aaron’s first exposure to the field of architecture began in early childhood with his love of painting and drawing. Much of his time as a child was spent doodling or painting in his backyard. This inherent love for the visual arts became more integral to his education as he decided to pursue a Bachelor’s in Fine Art with an Emphasis in Drawing from the University of Northern Colorado where he received multiple academic achievements. During this time, Aaron participated in and hosted a number of gallery shows as well as painted public murals across Colorado.
Aaron’s love of the visual arts eventually grew to involve architecture and design where he decided to transfer to the University of Denver, Colorado, to pursue a Bachelor’s in Architecture. During his time at UCD, Aaron received multiple academic achievements in his Studio courses as well as participated in a number of international design competitions. Aaron’s unique interdisciplinary background in the visual arts and architecture allows him to think about design from multiple perspectives. His interests lie heavily in sustainable adaptive reuse projects, as well as following modern trends in architecture such as parametricism.
