Winner - 2020 Mixed Use Project - ENR Mountain States

Located in the heart of Denver’s Cherry Creek North Shopping District, this project takes on a stepped form to respect the neighborhoods unique zoning requirements and allow sunlight onto 3rd Ave.  The building combines 3 levels of underground parking, ground level retail facing 3rd Ave and Josephine St and 5 levels of class A office above.  

 

With the wedge shaped zoning the design goal was to break the building down into human scale elements composed of floor to ceiling curtain wall and a ribbed blackened metal panel, which begins to disguise the terraced nature of the building.  Special moments like office entry are called out with natural wood.  Large balconies offering unobstructed views of the Denver skyline compliment the office spaces on levels 3-6.
