tharika raman
registered architect, council of Architecture, India
Growing up in Dubai, Tharika was captivated by its ever-evolving skyline and the interaction of design, culture and urban life. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelors degree in Architecture from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Dubai, where she deepened her interests in sustainable design and constantly refined her skills in architectural illustrations. Eager to explore beyond buildings, she pursued her Master's in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University GSAPP in New York City. Here, she focused on creating inclusive urban spaces and a vibrant public realm through visual-storytelling. Through this, she had the opportunity to volunteer with NGOs on Climate Action Initiatives in New York and Jamaica, helping communities develop resilient solutions for their neighborhoods.
Professionally, Tharika worked on diverse projects, from commercial to mixed-use developments in the Middle East. Now based in Denver, she’s excited to engage with new challenges and explore how sustainable materials and practices can shape the future of design here, while working towards obtaining an architectural license. Outside of work, she is a professional dancer, enjoys photography, abstract art and content creation.
